Mark Kersey
"I look forward to an opportunity to fight for fiscal reform on the council so that we can restore neighborhood services to the levels that taxpayers deserve."
Mark Kersey, a Rancho Bernardo resident, is the founder of his own small business that conducts independent research and consulting for the telecommunications and other high-tech industries. He is actively involved in a number of community organizations, including the Rancho Bernardo Rotary Club, the Rancho Bernardo Business Association, First Book-San Diego, the Conservative Order for Good Government, and the RB Spirit of the Fourth celebration. Kersey is a staunch fiscal reformer and served on the board of the Lincoln Club of San Diego, co-chairing the Club's Legislative Action Committee, until he declared his City Council candidacy. Kersey has worked closely with the Lincoln Club's efforts to advance fiscal reform in San Diego, including the No on Prop. D campaign and the current push for comprehensive pension reform. "The early support of my candidacy has been overwhelming. After reaching out to community and political leaders for the past several months I came to the conclusion this spring that I would run for Council if Councilman Carl DeMaio vacated his seat," Kersey said. "I look forward to an opportunity to fight for fiscal reform on the Council so that we can restore neighborhood services to the levels that taxpayers deserve." ![]() |
